In 2001, at 40, Ginger Rock felt it was time for a drastic change. She underwent bariatric surgery, one of the most life-changing procedures, at Northside Hospital Atlanta.
Nearly 25 years after bariatric surgery, Ginger is living life to the fullest and helping other bariatric patients along the way. After her surgery, she felt it was her duty to help others struggling with obesity. Ginger earned her nursing degree and later became the bariatric clinical coordinator with the Surgery and Weight Management Program at Northside Hospital Atlanta.
Ginger is passionate about helping others through the bariatric process by leading support groups. Through Northside’s support group, she gives patients the guidance and encouragement they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
