Two Northside Hospital leaders were recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as part of its 2026 Health Care Champion Awards at a ceremony March 19.
Lynn Jackson, president and CEO of Northside Hospital Forsyth, was named Health Care Executive of the Year. Jackson began her career in nursing and has spent more than two decades at Northside Hospital Forsyth, helping lead the hospital’s growth from a 41-bed facility into a regional medical center with more than 400 beds, nearly 4,000 employees and more than 650 physicians.
“It’s been the privilege of my career to witness that kind of growth and to play a small part in how community health has truly taken hold and become an economic force,” Jackson said.
Under her leadership, the hospital has continued to expand while maintaining a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.
“Lynn began her career in nursing and has continually shown a strong commitment to improving patient care through her leadership and service expansion at Northside Forsyth, as well as through numerous community roles that expand access to health care,” said Deidre Dixon, CEO of Northside Hospital Atlanta.
Christine Bree Becker, lead nurse practitioner for the Maternal Heart Health Clinic at the Northside Hospital Heart Institute, was named Innovator of the Year in Women’s Health. Becker has spent the past decade at Northside, specializing in cardiovascular conditions associated with pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Since 2021, she has helped grow the Maternal Heart Health Clinic from a part-time program into a multicampus service that provides preventive care for women before and after childbirth.
“There’s a lot that falls within our realm of control,” Becker said. “We can prevent most heart disease if we can avoid or treat chronic conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes.”
The annual awards recognize individuals and organizations making a significant impact on health care across metro Atlanta.
